Athletics

At Harold W. Lang Sr. Middle School, we take pride in offering a dynamic and competitive athletics program that promotes teamwork, discipline, and school spirit. Our students have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of sports, including football, basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball, softball, track, cross-country, and cheer. Each program is designed to help student-athletes develop their skills both on and off the field while representing HW Lang with pride and determination. Through dedication and sportsmanship, our athletes learn the value of perseverance and collaboration. Whether on the court, the field, or the track, Lang Pioneers always play with heart!

Attention Lang Parents: If your student is participating in athletics, there are a few important tools and steps to ensure they’re fully prepared for the season.
Aktivate is the UIL database where all athletic eligibility and required forms are submitted, and SportsYou is the communication platform coaches use to share schedules, updates, and team information once your student is on a team.
Both apps are essential—coaches report that families who actively use them stay informed and help their athletes succeed.
Additionally, all 7th and 8th grade students must have a completed sport physical on file before participating in any athletic activity.
Staying current with these tools and requirements ensures your Pioneer is ready to play, compete, and thrive safely.
